Board

    Our board is made up of professionals that are committed to supporting and giving back to the Human Resource profession. Their talent and passion has lead them to volunteer to make SHRM Northstate successful, working together to provide what HR professionals in the North State want and need -- training, development, connections, and more.  Our board volunteers an average of 500 combined hours per year serving HR professionals and businesses.  Reach out to any of us if you have questions about the Chapter, SHRM or about volunteering.

    Bonnie has over 35 years of experience in human resources with B.S. in Business/Human Resources Management from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and is certified as SHRM-SCP. Bonnie has held Human Resources Management roles with several well-known organizations in Redding, and spent 6 years doing independent HR consulting. Her expertise includes all areas of human resources, including talent acquisition, training and development, performance management, benefits administration, compensation, payroll, employee and labor relations, legal compliance, policy development and risk management. She is currently Human Resources Manager for CalPortland in Redding, CA, a cement manufacturing plant.

    Jami graduated from the California State University, Chico, in 2005.  Jami received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an option in Human Resources Management.

    Over the years, Jami has been involved in various human resources positions and volunteer HR opportunities.  Jami currently works in the Human Resources Department at the Shasta County Office of Education.

    Jami has volunteered for the Northstate SHRM as a Board Member for two different terms (2008-2011 and 2018-current).

    Terri has 20+ years of human resource and management experience that spans across multiple industries and business life cycles.  She has a passion for building teams and creating a culture that will develop leaders and engage employees. Terri enjoys mentoring HR professionals and recently volunteered to be a CalSHRM certified instructor for the SHRM-SCP and SHRM-CP prep courses.Terri has been an active board member for nine years. She volunteers on  the Northstate SHRM Conference Committee and the CalSHRM Legislative & HR Conference Committee.

    Terri is the Human Resources Manager at Golden Valley Bank. She began her career in Human Resources over 20 years ago. In 2011, Terri was hired by Golden Valley Bank to lead their Human Resources Department. Her main responsibilities are to implement human resource management strategies that enable Golden Valley Bank to recruit, train, and retain the Best Bankers in Town. Ultimately, making Golden Valley Bank the Best Bank in Town! Terri specializes in employee benefits, payroll, learning and development. After graduating from California State University, Chico, Terri and her husband stayed there and raised their two boys. They enjoy the Chico Community and all that the Northstate has to offer.

    As Director of Workforce Training and Development at Butte College, Annie is responsible for providing quality performance consulting and workforce training programs.  Annie has over 22 years of experience in local government, academic, and corporate environments both as a Senior Vice President, Global Training and Development Leader and Certified Industry Trainer.  Since joining Butte College in 2008, Annie has facilitated Butte College Contract Education’s performance consulting and training services programs now serving 11,500 local employees with customized on-site employer training for over 100 employers.

    Derek graduated from California State University, Chico, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship. He also earned the Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) designation, focusing on Group Benefits Plans, Self-Funding, Benefits Compliance and Health Maintenance Organizations.

    Derek grew up in Northern California and lives here to enjoy the outdoors. His wife motivates him to participate in the North State CrossFit family. He is a certified PADI Open Water Diver, certified Range Officer for United States Practical Shooting Association and a Certified HAM Technician. Mostly, however, he values being a husband and father of two young children.

    Angela McFall is an HR Lead for Wipro Limited, a leading technology services and consulting company focused on building innovative solutions that address clients; most complex digital transformation needs.  Angela has over 15 years of extensive experience working with all aspects of Human Resources. Her vast knowledge includes HR policy design, HRIS administration and implementations, talent acquisition and talent management, compliance, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compensation, training, and career development.

    Prior to joining the Wipro, Angela held executive leadership positions within the technology and the hospitality industries. She has experience in various industries including finance, real estate, and healthcare. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, snowmobiling, snowboarding, swimming and spending time with her family.
